Do you suffer from one or more of these issues? If so, this article is for you. In it, we will discuss the four key organs – the stomach, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas – that play a part in bloating, indigestion, constipation, and acid reflux.

Understanding Stomach Function

The stomach’s main role is to break down proteins and absorb minerals, such as calcium, iron, and potassium. It also kills off microbes and bacteria. For the stomach to function properly, its pH should be between one and three, which is an incredibly low pH.

If the pH is not low enough, the stomach will not be able to trigger the liver to release the gallbladder fluid, also known as bile.

Explaining Bile

Bile is a fluid that helps to break down fats and extract fat-soluble vitamins. It also assists in the absorption of healthy fats, which make up your body. If the stomach is weak, it will not be able to release bile, resulting in a bile deficiency.

Common symptoms of a gallbladder problem include belching and shoulder pain.

Pancreas Function

The pancreas is responsible for making most of the enzymes in the body. These enzymes break down carbohydrates, starches, proteins, and fats. Once they get to the small intestine, microbes break down the food even further.

If the stomach is not acidic enough, it will not be able to release these enzymes and the food will not get broken down. This can lead to undigested food, which will rot and sit in the stomach, resulting in pain, bloating, and constipation.

Acid Reflux

If the stomach is not acidic enough, the valve between the stomach and esophagus will not close properly. This is known as GERD, or acid reflux. It is important to note that taking antacids is not the solution as it will only make the problem worse.

Recommended Remedies

I usually use two remedies together to tackle bloating, indigestion, constipation, and acid reflux. The first remedy is an acidifier called apple cider vinegar plus.

It is a concentrated powder in pill form with betaine hydrochloride, which helps to acidify the stomach. This remedy can also help to release the bile and the enzymes from the pancreas.

The second remedy I use is called a formula. It contains purified bile salts and enzymes from the pancreas. This helps to give your body the bile that it may be lacking. It also helps to fortify the liver and gallbladder to break down food.

I usually recommend taking 2-3 acidifier pills before a meal and one formula pill after a meal. This combination can handle a lot of problems related to bloating, indigestion, constipation, and acid reflux.
