The lack of vitamins, minerals and nutritious foods in your diet can weaken and break your hair. You must maintain a balanced diet to maintain the health of your hair, as well as using natural products that contribute to hair health.
How to Keep Hair Healthy
- Limit hair washing
Washing your hair every day can dry it because the shampoo removes oils from the scalp. Wash the hair every two days or more with a moisturizing shampoo. A rinse with cold water removes excess fat without drying out your hair and keeps your hair healthy, fresh and shiny.
- Avoid excess commercial hair products, especially those containing alcohol, such as sprays and gels, as they leave your hair stiff and hard. Also, limit the use of dryers, irons, curling irons, among others.
- Eat proteins such as fish, poultry, and beef. Eat vegetables and grains daily, broccoli and spinach contain protein. Protein-rich grains also include soybeans, lentils, and black beans.
- Apply a deep treatment once a week
Traditional protein treatments include soaking the hair with egg whites, mayonnaise, olive oil or beer. Follow the same instructions as traditional conditioners when you use them for hair care.
